Orphan Recording Studios was set up in 2010 by musician/producer Gavin Glass. Gavin has played and produced on countless records over his 20 year career and is one of Ireland's most in-demand record producers.
Located just 10 minutes from the City Center and a 3 minute walk from the Blackhorse Luas Stop Orphan offers 3 very spacious treated live rooms and Dublin's largest control room.
Offering both modern and vintage recording techniques the studio is based around Pro Tools 11 but is also home to one of the few remaining fully operational 24 track 2" Analogue Tape Recorders.

Gavin Glass - Owner/Producer/musician
With over 20 years experience, Gavin is one of Ireland's most in-demand producers. He has played alongside and recorded with Paul Brady, Lisa Hannigan, Mundy & Jerry Fish to name but a few. He has also toured and recorded with international artists such as the late Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band fame, Garth Hudson from Last Waltz legends THE BAND & English "Rockney" innovators Chas & Dave on their recent Warner release "That's What Happens".
He recently completed work on "Once" & "Begin Again" director's John Carney "Sing Street" which he was the Music Director. Sing Street has being wowing critics and audiences alike across the world.
He has released 4 universally acclaimed solo albums as well as producing and playing on countless other Irish releases. He is a multi-intrumentalist who specialises in stringed and keyboard instruments.
He has built up a solid reputation as the "go-to-guy" for young Irish bands and artists as his innovative, understanding and patient approach has helped an array of young talent overcome the many obstacles of achieving world class sounding productions.
Sean COleman - producer/engineer/tech
Hailing from Virginia/San Francisco, Sean brings an encyclopedic level of musical & technical knowledge to Orphan Recording Studios. Having toured America & Europe several times over Sean settled in Dublin 8 years ago and has planted himself firmly here as one of Ireland's busiest producers and musicians. He recently completed Dylan Tighe's sonic masterpiece "Wabi-Sabi Soul", indie darlings September Girls - "Age of Indignation" and Dovecote's beautiful eponymous titled album. He is currently sailing the console of Trust Me I'm A Thief/Beautiful Unit Brian Mooney's latest album project which features Little Green Cars as the backing band.
Scott Halliday - engineer/musician/producer
A force of nature as a multi-instrumentalist, engineer & producer - Scott Halliday is the mixing master at Orphan Recording. A graduate of both Newpark Jazz & Pulse Recording Colleges, Scott brings the perfect balance of musicality and technical know how to Orphan. Gavin and Scott often work closely together as a production-team with singer-songrwiter's who may not have the personnel or funds to incorporate a band on a recording project. As a touring technician he was worked and played alongside Prince (yes... THE Prince!!!) James Vincent McMorrow & Lisa Hannigan.
Peter ashmore - Engineer/musician/producer
Another musical engineer, specialising in Drums. Peter has been the recording engineer on sessions for The Hot Sprockets, The Young Folk, Paul Brady & The Eskies to name but a few. A vital asset to the studio for larger sessions or when Gavin or Sean are producing/acting as band member for a recording project. He recently mixed Dublin two-piece We Cut Corners sophomore release and his original band "Burnt Out" recently caught the ear of musical tastemaker Nialler9 who championed the band on his website.
